The Stepford Virus: Prologue
Added 2019-10-17 12:00:02 +0000 UTCGood morning again, folks! I already posted a story yesterday, but I actually have a little teaser prepared to get everyone ready for next week's story!
As voted on by all of the lovely $5 and $10 Patrons, our next story will be The Stepford Virus! A tale of a slowly spreading plague that turns all the infected into perky 1950s housewives and breadwinners!
The story proper will follow different characters as they try to survive with their modern personalities and fashion styles intact, while the so-called "Stepford Zombies" try to spread their happy little lifestyle to everyone on the globe! But as for this teaser, it'll cover the very first case of this supposed outbreak. A patient zero, if you will.
The cause is actually inspired by a horror comedy movie called Aaah! Zombies!! (also known as Wasting Away), where the story follows several zombies who don't realize that they're zombies. There, the protagonists become infected by ice cream which has been mixed with toxic chemicals. Here, it's soda with (possibly) atomic radiation mixed in. I think it helps the campy tone, personally.
