Left-Hand Spell Casting Test

A preview of what I'm currently working on in the Goetia animations series, let me know what you think!

This mod, centered around spell casting, will be the largest I've worked on yet, and will consist of over 100 animations once finished, after doing some testing and file structuring, I'm now fairly certain I understand how each animation and transition works and how they blend with movement animations.

I'll start by finishing up the movement animations with aimed spells, while fixing the character's aim direction issue from its roots similarly to my previously released ranged mods, followed by the left hand spell casting animations, so that hybrid character playstyles (ex: spellblade) would be able to use most of the mod earlier.

Haha bet, welcome back!

Thank you! Haha yeah, I'm still trying to keep the animations grounded to some extent, even though this is about magic.

OMG I got back on the patreon as soon as I saw this YES finally more love for magic builds

I like this one. Not too fancy and yet still looking badass. I can't wait for the finished package.

Thank you!

Awesome ♥

Indeed. I think there's also the challenge of making it work with one-handed weapon + spell on one hand too.

I highly appreciate the feedback Vendasia! That's the main reason I made this post, I'll try adjusting the angles a bit, though I still want it to seem like it takes some amount of effort to cast spells, especially when it comes to destruction magic.

Verolevi

I'm glad to hear that Mura! Part of the challenge is figuring out how the animations will interact with each other, and finding out the best way to approach them before any animating is done.

Verolevi

Mhhh...interesting. Very well animated. I just think that the arm stretches a little bit to far to the back. It looks rather physically exhausting for the arms. They would have to be a little bit lower on the angle, to look more effortlesly. Or at least the arms should bend as much to the back. Though I am interested in hearing what your thought process was.

I love that you include your process in the description. Knowing your work in details like that, it makes me admire the time and effort you put in even more.
