Crossroads: Leviathan 2, Vanargand 2 or new magic series?

What content are you guys more interested in seeing in the near future?

Comments

I think that would be a perfect addition to your suite. I'm using all your animations, but I currently use DAR to overwrite sword and dagger attacks with some thrusts and 2H shoulder bashes (all made by Mofu). Unfortunately, they are very old ports, but they give the weapons diversity. Anyway, I'm excited to see what you come up with.

V2 animations will have a different direction from V1, while the first Vanargand has a slam and no thrusts (best suited for maces and axes), the next round of Vanargand animations will lean more towards swords and/or daggers, I might then provide optional DAR folder structures to explicitly separate the animations depending on weapon type.

Verolevi

Are you planning for your vanilla attack animation replacers to be weapon specific for V2? (such as giving blades separate animations to differentiate them from blunt weapons)?

Super cool cause srsly ADXP|MCO has a lot of viable area for expansion and more complex animation systems. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/t_original/1382575546786084931.gif

I've yet to try MCO myself as of now, but I do plan to learn about it once I'm done with magic and make all future movesets MCO compatible, I'm also excited to learn about paired animations such as killmoves and sneak finishers, hopefully it won't take too long before I'm able to replace the vanilla ones.

Verolevi

Any chance of getting your melee movesets AIO'd and compatible with ADXP|MCO? I'd love to see it as your stuff is very good and there are very few MCO movesets at this time.

Probably not all AA's weapon types but I might work on some that I find fun in the future.

Verolevi

I was wondering, in the future would you be interested in doing animations for the new weapon types added by animated armoury? (spears, etc...)

No plan to do so at the moment as I'm quite satisfied with Modern Camera Preset, but I'll make sure to upload it if I ever make a substantially different preset.

Verolevi

Do you plan on making any new smoothcam presets?

See that's what I was using until I realised that the sneak jog animation footstep fx are disabled deliberately. Then moved over to your set. I'll be glad to see it in the future!

Agreed, in my current setup, I'm using Underdog animations for actors wearing common clothes, though I am planning to make my own animations for them some time in the future.

Verolevi

Since you have mage, heavy, and light armor anim sets, it would be cool to see common animations for non armored, just for completions sake for CATA, I just spawned in with common clothes through an alternate start mod and realized I'm using the vanilla anims.

Yes I'm planning to include unarmed as part of the second round of Vanargand or Leviathan, though it's going to take quite a bit of time to get back to them.

Verolevi

I'm a bit late to this poll and while I don't really do characters for it, are there any plans to ever do animations for hand to hand?

Ah ok, makes sense. I look forward to seeing what you make! Your animations are on another level

Shiiieetttt, I been waiting for you to make magic animations for a hot minute now. Even mentioned it to you a few times in the past. Hells fucking YES to new magic animations. That Sumo wrestling stance that magic got, has GOTS TO GO! Your high quality animations and hoping you'd make magic animations was the very reason I decided to sub to your patreon. So yea, expect to have my financial support for another couple of months. This is exactly what I been waiting for, So EXCITED. I completely held off on playing my mage playthrough, waiting for these animations. Real shit. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure if I fully understand what you meant, but vanargand is targeted exclusively at light armor movement, one handed weapons and ranged weapons, vanargand itself wont have magic nor two handed animations, however, it must remain fully compatible with the magic series for hybrid playstyles (ex: spellblade), which essentially means, you'll be able to mix B and C. ^^

Verolevi

Edit: Why not a mix of B & C? Assuming you create new magic animations, I'm guessing you would want to have a vanargand & leviathan set to complete your goal of having full fleshed out animations for light and heavy. Vanargand is almost complete, minus magic animations and 2H. Once vanargand is complete, you're pretty much half way done with your original goal.

It looks like it's magic, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
