[Update 1.1][Skyrim SE] Vanargand Animations - Sneak Strike Attacks

This is the third part of the Vanargand Sneak animations for male and female characters, these will replace, while sneaking and holding an axe or mace in the right hand, the Vanilla Idle, walk, run, normal attack, power attack in place and forward power attack.

Additional weapon types can be added in the "_conditions.txt" file.

Use any mod manager or manually copy the content from your chosen attached file's 'Data' folder into your Skyrim's 'Data' folder.


[Update SkySA Version]

Added a version that's adapted to SkySA, using DAR and AMR:

Allows the character to perform the forward leaping double strike while sneaking and moving forward, as showcased here: Forward Sneak Strike Attack For SkySA


Animation Motion Revolution is required, and serves to give the character custom movement while attacking.

Dynamic Animation Replacer is required, and serves to make the attacks exclusive to axes and maces.

True Directional Movement is highly recommended.

In that case, the nemesis files must have been generated in the overwrite folder, I'd suggest checking out this thread as it deals with the same nemesis issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/lcyxec/mod_organizer_2_where_do_the_nemesis_generated/

I'll look into that, this was my first time attempting to run nemesis and I'm pretty sure I messed it up somehow. Is there a guide somewhere for deleting the nemesis output? I removed the files from the folder but beyond that I don't have a clue. Thanks for your patience and help :)

That's strange, as long as AMR and DAR are installed, the animations shoud play without issues, as they have no dependency on SkySA or Nemesis, maybe you could try deleting your nemesis output and rerunning the patcher as that solves most behavior issues.

Sorry - I should have mentioned I tried that too. The issue now is - with or without SkySA enabled and regardless of version I no longer have the lunge on power attack. It's a matter of me being careless and not knowing how to restore my files properly I think

Hey there, the issue with SkySA at the moment, is it disables power attacks while sneaking (with or without the sneak thrust/strike mods), we can only hope for that to be fixed in a later SkySA update. In the mean time I have provided the SkySA adapted version which allows the use of the forward lunge as a normal attack while moving forward to still get the playstyle benefit.

Hey Levi, I'm having an issue after running SkySA / Nemesis - the lunge no longer activates on forward power attack. I disabled SkySA and reinstalled the mods and tried everything else I can think of. Any idea how to fix this?

Basically, each creature requires its own working Blender rig to use for animating.

Oh its something that's not supported or is there animation tools you need?

That's a good idea, but sadly requires tools I don't have currently.

Cant wait to try them out! Btw any plans on doing animations for vampire lords and werewolves? those are in dire need of some nice animation replacers but maybe DAR dont support that?
