Tiernan always makes me laugh, including while he shuffles his papers, real or imaginary.

I think it's interesting that you would consider the Snob a "straight man" role (unless I misunderstand you). If I had to pick Hog's best "straight man" role I would probably say Darren McCormack... Nevertheless, I agree with you about them all being comedic geniuses - and I think it's amazing that they never squabble about roles but just let it all fall into place organically.

Thank you for that 😀

They have said that whoever writes the script gets to choose who is going to play which characters. And they've also said that they don't disagree on this stuff. It just happens naturally without any worry. I think they've obviously developed their range of characters, after 13/14 years or so of working together. Arms plays the straight man in Sandcastles, but Foil's straight man in the Driving Instructor videos is (in my humble opinion) one of the absolute best straight man roles he's ever played. I guess the Snob might be considered Hog's best role in that category - but they all play it straight in One Man Play - so who knows? They're all comedic geniuses from my perspective.

Maybe he was a postman in a former life. It's pretty common here for posties to wear shorts year round, even in the snow.

Foil's "LET'S GET READY TO BU----RRRRRRRRRY" is my new "earworm" 🤣

I've always wondered, not just concerning you guys but all ensembles really, how do you decide on which character to play once you have a new sketch? I mean, you say that Foil is called Foil because he used to play all the straight characters and vice versa but nowadays all three of you seem to have ranges for playing any character. Do you ever disagree on who plays what?

I swear to God he has anti freeze in his veins

Loved these extras from an already brilliantly funny sketch, and the adorkable Sporty Priest (who could maybe star in a sequel to the Fitness Instructor Confessional...).

Maybe he has a bit o’Canadian blood in him

I could not say it better, Karolina... and I would love to see a sequel to this pilot episode:) also due to certain characters looking overly tense when the newsreader and the reporter appeared... like they were afraid some secrets might come out ;))

Thank you for your kind words Karolina. No, I wasn’t offended at all-In fact your comment made me chuckle Anyways I just love how versatile and relatable FAH are.

I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't mean to offend anyone, it was just a joke... Tiernan as a character makes me laugh and also intrigues me. Now that I "met" not only his grandad but also his uncle? (I'm not sure who exacly Frank the boxing announcer is to Tiernan... :) ) only shows me , that this might be a very interesting family :)

My grandma whom I had a rather complicated relationship with just passed away a few weeks back. I could relate to Tiernan on almost a spiritual level. Luckily I never had to do a eulogy since I live on another continent-no in person funeral for me to attend.

Why did Foil as the ‘ Sporty priest ‘ remind me of the priest in Fleabag 🤣 Thank you for the extra laughs guys

🤣thank you!

Thank you so much for all the bonus material this week! So nice to see and read. Great sketch! After the Tetris improvisation on the church organ I thought for a moment you would use that as background music when lowering the coffin haha

I can't believe Foil ALWAYS WEARS SHORTS. Even when it's literally the middle of January 😅

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Tiernan - with a grandad like this he probably didn't have it easy...No wonder he's so formal. I hope he sees his therapist :) Ps. Arms, first you spoiled us with your writing and now what? Not even a word? How dare you? I trusted you... :)

Such a great sketch! Thanks for the extra bits! Always interesting to see what didn't make it

Loved the final words.

The sporty priest... very cool and happy, indeed... (as long as he is not showing off his manhood in padded cycling shorts ;))) I must admit Frank has one impressive voice... and I love Montgomery's playful eye brows :)
