Announcing the Manument winner

Hello! We have drawn the winner of the Manument Leva machine and have received a reply from them by email confirming that they would like to accommodate it into their life.
The winner was Diego from Spain - congratulations to them!

Here's a link to the Manument review video in case you haven't come across it yet. Looking forward to making and sharing more videos with you soon!

James explains exactly what youre saying... not so useful to a normal consumer but the tech in it solves one of the biggest problems of why many coffee connoisseurs still avoid making espresso every morning. It isn't that this "COULD" be the future, but that it is. Thanks to those that are able to buy these to continue the innovation in coffee and specifically espresso.

Few can afford the Manumet so, as a consumer review, the video is not terribly useful. However, the point of the video seems to be that the Manumet can be considered a prototype of the future of espresso. If a normally sized and priced machine could provide flash heating and self-cleaning, that would be a game changer. The engineer in me says hmmm... this probably could be done if the heating chamber was small enough that it could rapidly respond to the temperature and pressure requirements. I think James might be onto something -- this could be the future.

I wanted to say congrats Diego - without putting a dampner on such an item i wonder if you might have to pay around up to 4000 euros import duty on the machine or if James might be able to have a word with the swiss company who who be able to receive it back and then send it to you for free as they have a special arrangement with the EU ;)..... just worth thinking about - it may also depend on whether EU VAT has been paid when James purchased it.......i hope there is a simple solution - maybe it wont be as complicated as feared but since moving to germany from the UK weve found the whole system a a nightmare

Congrats! From the dimensions alone and 15A requirement, I realised it would be too much hassle to make it work, so didn't enter in the end - but it was not an easy choice, a beautiful and capable machine! Also thinking about shipping environmental impact to get it to AU, just as James mentioned in the video - I'd much rather see it sent to someone deserving in EU.

Dave

congrats diego!!!

Congrats to Diego (This machine is going on my "when I win the lottery" wishlist)
