"Bruno, in fact, was very quietly pulling up no trees." I don't know what this means. ^ Dylan with the massive save. And I love Henri's return as the auteur.

You're not alone!

I've been doing a reread of this book during the break (hope the heat wave broke and you're feeling better!), and it never really sat well with me that Max was directly affecting opposing players with the relationism bonuses. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I like the fact that all of Max's powers bring out the best in his teams as opposed to the worst in the opponents.

Learned some new “English” today. Not “Pulling up trees” is a rare idiom I’ve never heard in the US or in any British shows I’ve ever watched. Nice

I think it's pronouncing it aggressively Englishly with a voiced H because : "Henry is the brand name given to a cylinder vacuum cleaner made and sold by Numatic International, and is the only mass-produced consumer vacuum cleaner still made in the United Kingdom." They are rather cute too: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_(vacuum)

I've tried to figure it out, but cannot quite imagine it. How does one say "Henri" like it's a vaccuum cleaner?

I did a super quick research on that line and found that Norgay wrote in his autobiography that Edders went first. If he deliberately never told anyone in order to share the credit properly, yeah that's top.

Sir Ed famously never stated who stepped onto the mountain summit first. Chesterness at its finest

And great job by everyone getting Max out of his own head. He was due a January swoon, sitting in the rain and crying, but they short circuited it.

I love the women's team so much
