Kind of harsh on the centre backs. At 10/10 unt 9/10 I expected them to get a pass out of the dressing room too. I'm not much of a team player. Perhaps I'm missing a point. A great chapter and a huge, dramatic, action packed match. I loved it. Hang on lads, I've got an idea... ...If the Bayern Zwie pop outside and the centre backs go into the office...

2025-04-27 07:34:29 +0000 UTCThat's very interesting. It's true that most analysis is very individualised. I heard that Brighton have a more sophisticated approach but it is flawed in its own way. Not an easy sport to reduce to data!

2025-04-26 21:12:33 +0000 UTCIt wasn't bad enough. Players get kicked all the time! I've made a tiny edit to say this one didn't meet the threshold.

2025-04-26 21:10:01 +0000 UTCHow come Max didn’t sub Danny off immediately? I feel like if it had been a Chester player he would have. (Also, that was awesome and thanks to Ted, I CANT WAIT FOR MONDAY!)

2025-04-26 15:24:59 +0000 UTCI think I realized the difference between Max and Bayern's analysts. Max sees the trees that are the players and the forest that is made up of them and the way they interact. The analysts see the trees that are the players, but can only see them in isolation, as if each tree was solo in a landscaped garden. The analysts can only see the way players interact as individual trees in separate plots, not the synergistic whole that is he ecosystem of a forest that makes up a match. This lack of scope is why the analysts will never be able to be a successful manager, and why Max is successful. This scope of view is why Max, if he lives past the curse, could still be a top manager. He can see that whole without the curse, all the curse does is give him more data.

2025-04-26 13:59:41 +0000 UTCThey got a little bit complacent. Not much, but enough. For the last goal, Max was just sort of boosting Jost, letting his mouth run. He didn't actually expect it.

2025-04-26 13:28:26 +0000 UTCI liked the overall idea of the chapter, but I'm confused how it was described, second half specifically. It's stated the players think they can play however to win second half. But no thick lines of disobedience, and it is described as if max doing too much puts players out of position. Was it just the players doing 80% and getting dicked? Also the final goal, how did max know Jost would score the winner after the relation is? What'd I miss.

2025-04-26 02:36:29 +0000 UTCWhat's Max's current win record as a manager for his entire career? Got to be in the 80 percent range

2025-04-25 20:24:39 +0000 UTCWow. Reading that chapter felt like a massive sugar rush. Brillantly executed!

2025-04-25 18:12:22 +0000 UTCPump it directly into my veins, Ted! I love it when Max goes insane after a win. Him taking that relief and joy and absolutely piledriving it so that he can mold a better team is always incredible. Awesome heel-turn for Evaristo after Max has been hyping him up in the narration. Keep the bangers coming!

2025-04-25 15:34:24 +0000 UTCIsn't that why Max is always worried about only going up 2-0 in the first? I think he talked about it in every book of the previous series.

2025-04-25 15:32:27 +0000 UTCPhew. It really was quite disturbing to see how the players just... don't try after being ahead.

2025-04-25 15:02:23 +0000 UTCI've got to stop reading these just before bed. I'm way to pumped up to sleep now. Such a fun chapter!
