13.5 - Manchester United 2 Chester 1

5.

In the week leading up to C

Comments

Max becomes healed from the trauma of transfers coming soon? Or will Raffi Brown be in his nightmares forever

Logan Cole Adams

I can’t wait until Max experiences what it’s like to lose key players. I’ve always found it frustrating when players choose to be backups at big clubs for a paycheck, instead of becoming legends by playing week in and week out at smaller clubs. It really highlights the challenges of managing a squad in soccer.

Logan Cole Adams

Fun as hell!

Mack

Really enjoyed the chapter. Just a thought... does 169 for an average CA seem a little high? Would have thought it to be a little lower when you throw in some older/overrated players since 170 seems like some of the best players in the league. Would definitely love to also see the man utd average PA in addition to the CA in the chap for some context on all of Chester's best prospects.

Max Milbury

God, I enjoyed that. Real day-brightening chapter you wrote here. Absolutely top!

Froyo Baggins

Lmao, I got so mad when I read the title. TFTC!

Michael Mchenry

It is a great chapter and a great change of pace. The lads lost but did so with style and self-awareness. Ted teasing three nil being a good result gave it away that the end result would be along that disparity, but I ended my reading with a smile on my face, so I suppose Pedro got to me too.

Droman

A captivating read.

Galeg

Worth the wait. Really enjoyed the MU manager getting to be an actual positive character as well.

Caerold

Worth the wait, as always. I was hoping Max wouldn't slag off Pedro given the respect he'd felt during the match, do that little back and forth was a really nice touch.

Felix Skinner

Damn, Pedro was so cool he made Max forget to shit talk curent football and get black listed lmao

Piras

Hope we get the reactions of various parties to this match and maybe bits from conversation from Max and Pedro

Ductor Storage

Just beautiful. This chapter summed up so much that is great about this series. The emotion, the love of a narrative, the trust and prioritization of team and togetherness, the search for positive play, optimizing chances, attacking even an intractable problem, and building for tomorrow. There is no 'US' in 'Chester' but this chapter was all about finding the ways for us to succeed together.
