2023-09-14 14:40:02 +0000 UTCThis one brings some memories... Setting reminds me strongly of Natural History Museum in London which is absolutely a must-see, not only in terms of bugs. Touch aversion expresses not only in fear or displeasure. Sometimes in direct aggression too. And, irrationally, it also can be associated sometimes with touch starvation. University classmate almost got herself black eye when she grabbed my shoulder during one of our trips, right at the time I was desperately looking for someone to cuddle with. Fortunately it ended up only with "don't touch me" growl, murder look and awkward silence afterward. As for butterflies - they can fly without wings scales but since those (or rather patterns they make) are used for defensive and mating purposes, it is smart to avoid touching them.
