Meeting a Mortal Script

This is for my Patreon-only video. I recorded this as one of the very first videos I ever made. I couldn't decide whether or not it was too cringey to post. So, I posted it on here. What do you think. Cringe? 

A part of me likes it. A part of me found it deeply relaxing to edit. But another part of me thinks I shouldn't take myself too seriously. I'm just not sure. But I liked the script in theory, at least. 

Also, we need more god/goddess listener ASMR. I like being powerful.

Indeed, it's been a journey. Getting up here. I had questions about my family... about... well. Being up here. It doesn't seem to matter anymore. Which is strange because it mattered so much down there. It was my whole world down there. I went on this journey...

If this how you feel? All the time? Above... everything? the world, humanity, all problems... but all joys too?

Do you feel lonely?

Pause

I mean... you are a deity. So, I would suppose you're above such things. Such emotions.

I feel lonely. Just sitting here.

Why don't you come down? Like the gods and goddesses used to? Why don't you walk among us anymore?

No, I know it wasn't my fault. I'm sorry humanity failed you so greatly.

It's like feelings are floating here. Are you doing that? Are you controlling that?

I don’t even know what I mean. It's almost I can reach out and touch them. Joy, loss, relief, pride, fear, sorrow, peace... I it's like I can grab them out of the air.

Try? Try to what... to grab them? I... I couldn't. Could I?

Show me one, please. I can't see them, but they're there, right? Show me one.

Oh my... it's like a... a mirror. Or no, like... seeing your reflection in a lake. It's mostly there but there's something different. Something... but why is it me? How is this the feeling of love? I don't love myself.

Look closer? Alright...

Wait... what's that behind me?

Turning around noises

There's nothing behind me. Is it just in the reflection? How odd... but who is it?

A soulmate? You mean... soulmates are real?

Pause

And I have one? I can't see their face entirely... can you make it clearer?

No, I don't suppose I'm meant to know yet, am I. It is comforting though. Knowing that there's someone out there destined to love me.

Mortals are blessed that way, I suppose. We live short lives, but they are very full of love. I don't think we can live without love. I suppose that's why I'm here.

What are you doing now? Oh... water is falling from your hand. How are you... but that's not water, what is that? It catches the light rather like melted silver. What are you doing?

You made another pool... what emotion is this one? Look into it? Alright.

Let's see... me, again, and behind me... My. A beach? The water looks beautiful... so calm. What emotion is this?
