Her dad was an old-school Sicilian Catholic attorney, and her mom was Irish Catholic...well, we'd call it "Old Money" but it wasn't WASP-Y enough to be "Old Money" in New England, as they were a post-potato-Famine Old Money and not Daughters of the American Revolution Old Money. But she always said "They knew the world needed Lexa Vonn." and didn't bat an eye at her eschewing the big New England schools for one that had a good music program, making a living with her voice, guitar, and promotion ability, or being panromantic, pansexual and polyamorous. The type of support and love she got from her family (and her father was an ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING person to nearly EVERYONE ELSE) is something most of us can only dream of. There are days, especially now, when I feel like maybe I should have accepted his offer to send me to law school. Angelo and Lexa's relationship is what I see when I see Icy and her dad. Appropriate for Father's Day.
