Bear County Jamboree Revival

I think I'm of the belief that Icy Urski is a far more significant presence in WwF than she actually is. This may be the phenomenon known as Creator's Pet. Well, we're all going to have to choke down my passion for gay bears, for, like Mantiski, Icy has been with me for ages. She predates WwF, JG, and even my contributions to FA. Let's delve!

Bear County is nestled in a lushly forested corner of the state. Piggy Sue lives on the cusp of St. Charlies and Bear County, where she is a nearby neighbor of Icy and her wife Kitty. Originally I was writing Icy as a woman on a mission to save the lopsided world, with her massive paw in a number of different philanthropic pies. Then I remembered, hey, being older is exhausting, so I narrowed down Icy's passions to her gym (Roughnecks), her band (CRUSHED ICE) and her and Kitty's care of special needs/abandoned pets. Icy is a big, big bear, the second largest character in WwF (besides Pod the FREAKIN BLUE WHALE), and usually walks around stooped over (her back hurts). If she's standing tall as pictured it's already too late for you. Icy is skilled in boxing, power lifting, and music your dad likes.

Pandy Muse was originally called Pandy Boxx, though I changed her name because she reminds me more of Kandy Muse than Pandora Boxx (it's a Ru Girl thing...if ya know ya know). Pandy is Icy's much younger cousin. She had a poor relationship with her mother, so Icy took Pandy under her sizeable wing, playing the role of big sister, parent and mentor to the young panda. Her influence paid off, as Pandy delved into fitness and martial arts instead of self destructive tomfoolery. She even experienced several years of success in the pro wrestling circuit as PANDEMONIUM!, though like Rampage Black before her, she wisely quit while she was ahead. These days Pandy is second in command at Roughnecks. Despite her love of kung fu (bear style, of course) and her species, Pandy is not Chinese; most denizens of Bear County tend to be descended of Polish and/or Russian immigrants.

Mishka "Meesh" Muse is Pandy's husband. He's the definition of stout strength; as a relatively small sun bear he felt the need to shape up to keep up. He and Pandy bonded over a shared love of bearkour, which has a lot to do with thundering through the forest like a runaway eighteen wheeler. Romance! Meanwhile, Meesh is skilled in wrestling and taekwondo, and he owns a dojo for the latter. A friendly fellow with a heart to help others, Meesh teaches a monthly self defense class at Roughnecks which is free to small animal folks. Val, get in the car.

Kitty Clawson is Icy's partner since forever, and is, full disclosure, basically my wife's fursona. Originally from South Korea, Kitty was adopted by an American family. She has five cat sisters and one llama brother. For many years Kitty worked at Pettery Barn, but when Icy hit her financial stride, Kitty quit the /rat/ race to be a stay at home mom to the couple's many rescue /cats/, /dogs/ and /birds/. Icy is large and in charge; Kitty is small and in charge of Icy.
