So at the time that I started drawing today, gay guard-dog girlfriend Vaggie and soft snek boi Pentious had tied in the poll. So I hope you'll enjoy my take on both! I can't really see me doing the "hovering red X on her hair" thing, so Vaggie gets an absolutely huge facial scar instead. She's pretty tough, I'm sure she walked off the subsequent lobotomy.

From what I can tell from lurking online and listening to YouTube reviews, the general consensus is that Hazbin is fun to look at and even more fun to listen to (I am massively charmed by the propensity of Broadway stars filling the VA roster), but everyone hates the writing, pacing and storyboarding. It also appears that the people do not have any faith in the creator's ability to absorb any useful criticism and improve for season 2. I'm taking this with a big flipperful of salt. Maybe the creator is a snob, I don't know her, but I have no faith in the online hoi polloi to make suggestions that don't drip with vitriol. This does, however, make me more cognizant of my own ability to set up an enjoyable world and narrative. Artists have huge egos, no lie, but we bruise very easily. I think I need to lean more heavily on my Patreon community to help me stay on track in writing a story that people will actually want to read. Stick with me, folks!
