Yuri, any info on 5800X3D you can share for hydra 1.1A Pro? I have the debug tool, CO assignment does work, both positive and negative values. Changing max boost multiplier does not work. Asus DOCS does not work. All core max is 44.5, single at 4.55, never touches TDC/EDC/PPT limits, never even reaches 1.3v SVI2, usually in 1.18-1.22 range for 1t boost and mid 1.2x on all core. CPU has a ton of headroom....

Hi, I have a 5900x laptop version, with RTX 3070 laptop. My PPT, TDC and EDC values are 88W, 60A, 90A (from RM). When I run diagnostic Hydra (PRO 1.1D) have crash after some test and so black screen. When I restart windows (v11) and restar Hydra, after 2-5 seconds (about) have a new black screen. I'm very inexperienced. Do you have some advice for me? Thanks a lot

hello! im running this build and everytime hydra loads it tells me "the smu coudnt run the command" or something similar, and it seems the profiles don't activate when they are supposed to, could this be a conflict with aida 64 that i have it monitoring the hardware? i did not have this problem with older builds of hydra. thanks!!

You can only use the block "Values for UEFI, if you do not plan to use hydra", which has only values between -30 and +30. The Allcore CCX1/CCX2 CO Block is hydra internal and not for UEFI use.

You got it exactly, and also look at cvzone's answer - explains it but doesn't help. Some CO values were up to 80.

Thank you for this review! I will include a number of changes in a future build :) You can disable the game profile simply by unchecking the appropriate box for the ENABLED column. In this case AMD boost will be active. By the way, if HYDRA is minimized, GUI resources are freed up.

Ok... but then Hydra suggestions aren't really useful for PBO in UEFI, manual tweaking still needed (or use Hydra of course).

The Hydra Log gives you UEFI compatible Settings within an range of +30 and -30. Values above or below 30 are not UEFI suitable. In UEFI a -1 is equal to 3mV, in Hydra it is only -1mV, so values are not comparable.

APIC and Core number are not the same thing. Easy bridge for me to remember is APIC/2+1=Core. In your case 12/2+1= Core 7. Why the +1? Because the systems starts counting cores at 0

Question: Hydra proposes CO settings one can try in UEFI instead - but how am I supposed to enter values above +/-30, which seems to be the limit there?

I like the feature of Hydra showing which core failed last, and giving suggestions what steps may mitigate. However, in my case it shows Core#7 failed, while WHEA shows APIC 12. Can it be that preferred cores changes Hydra's numbering of Cores? Find this super-confusing.

Override cores makes Valorant unplayable on any profile game/custom/game disabled/static/dynamic, didn't test any other games yet. Issues with sound, freezes, stutters, etc. Game profile can only be completely disabled by setting the triggers to 101% / 101%. Other than that diagnostics went smoothly. Can't comment on CO changes as I went from high LLC 1.4v to auto 1.375v. Ideas/changes: - Specific game profiles -- I think custom profiles are headed in this direction, and I'm sure you're adding options for more profiles soon. But this is more efficient than polling processes since you'd only check them once when the GPU trigger is hit. It allows for profile switching when alt tabbed, removes the possibility of triggering accidentally since some games have low GPU usage. -- For custom profiles there should be an option to only trigger when it's the active window. - Settings per profile -- When gaming, I disable C6 states, increase OC response speed and revert them after. - Run command/file on profile enter/exit -- Would allow people to run a script that changes windows settings, power plans/options, or run any application for their use case. Could potentially use this as a way to change HYDRA settings. - Separate the GUI / core application -- Lighter weight, can close GUI completely, form won't be laggy, some performance improvements. The first three features are easy to implement and would benefit a decent amount of users. The last feature is beneficial overall, makes sense since maximizing performance is the goal and it should be like a "service", but it's definitely a time-consuming rewrite.

List of bugs I encountered (5900X): * Shutdown after Diagnostic still doesn't work if the diagnostic crashes or the system restarts in the meantime * 1 of 2 runs stopped before profile creation for some reason * override cores will do a switch-a-roo and change cores like it wants (4-2-2-2) - maybe I need to make the config write protected * Using override best cores will make me lose 200 - 250 MHz Other things: * MT CO of some cores extremely differs from 1.0E diagnostics, especially the worse CCD has much lower values now, though the higher CO made no problems in 1.0E - LT CO stayed mostly the same I don't know but 1.0E seems to be more stable.

Override Cores seems buggy. Does not work at all and when active slows down the default prefered cores by around 200-300 Mhz

Overriding best cores seems to be bugged. The number specified in Hydra always corresponds to the core number - 1. So if I say want C01 to be best core #1 I have to type a 0 into the field. After a restarting hydra, it also shifts the numbers around for some reason. So my best core #1, #2, #3, #4, which should be 0, 2, 4, 3, are suddenly 0, 2, 2, 2, which doesnt make any sense and causes hydra to hang as soon as a profile switch is triggered by a load.

After 10 hours of testing ,Going back to HYDRA 1.0E PRO .Too many bugs for my liking .

After 4 hours of testing I got: Unfortunately, the test data has been lost! Performs a retest of the CO.. System.Exception: Exception of type 'System.Exception' was thrown. at A.?.?.MoveNext() Any fixes for this, or just start fresh and hope?

How do I enable the Overriding best cores? No matter what numbers I put in with it turned on, it still uses the CPPC cores same as before (which is bad as first preferred core is about the 4th best)

An other interesting observation was after the on successful run. When doing CB23 it only used 2 cores and at boost test this two cores were the only ones with real boost frequency's (other ranged from 0 to 200, if I recall correctly). I used 1.0E Pro before with less to no issues (had to decrease unstable frequency - but diagnosis went fine).

Just one successful run but with problems (no C6 state test). It keeps crashing in CO testing until recovery starts and then hydra most of the time does not start automatically again. Last time it restarted as if it was first start but should do core 4. I did diagnostic with all enabled (C6 state, all cores CO testing, profile creation and so on). What I recognised was if the last successful frequency is unstable at the confirmation run, then it did not recognise it most of the time and try same settings over and over again.
