CTR 2.1 RC5 (ver. 18) - ready for download!
Added 2021-04-30 18:26:11 +0000 UTCThe video-guide ready and in processing. Hopefully it will be posted in an hour.
Cinebench R20 included. Before you use the new smart diagnostic, make sure you have curve disabled in the BIOS and DRAM OC must be stable. CPU LLC has an incredible impact on stability. At the end of the guide there is some more information about CTR 2.1 RC5.

What's new?
- Improved CPPC detection (now CTR will not block the user interface).
- Fixed "waking up profile after sleeping" bug.
- Higher diagnostic tolerance to weak VRMs (baseline profile frequencies reduced).
- OB slightly reduced (temporary solution. Trying to improve stability of your systems).
- Other minor bug fixes.

both cards are air cooled, this was my step sons 3080FTW. G-Skill 3600 running at 3800 and FLCK @ 1900 I Bricked my 3090FTW installing a EK water block. That other score is with the RMA'd card on air.

2021-05-17 14:52:18 +0000 UTClike i would look on my own pc just with another cpu but same ddr4 kit from gskill i believe? I maybe achieve around 200+ more point in firestrike, new best 26498 BUT which EVGA 3080 is this? i mean 48°C?! Wattercooled?

2021-05-17 08:56:55 +0000 UTCNice spot. I'd say it is automatically calculated, since there is no value for the PX trigger in the profiles. Yours is probably also reported as 9% as with my 5950x. Makes sense since iNerd is using a 5900x so less cores. Wouldn't worry too much, since voltage and OB are much more relevant.

2021-05-17 08:52:11 +0000 UTCMaybe I asked the wrong question. Where do I find the PX usage Trigger? You mention you have yours set at 11% I dont see any values like that.

2021-05-06 20:53:12 +0000 UTCI stumbled across this program from a facebook forum page My Extreme Pc Finally I have clock switching working for my MSI X570GL and 5950X. My initial results are amazing. It rated my 5950X as silver. No more 1.45v while idling, doing nothing more than surfing the web. I ran a FireStrike bench and here is my results there is more in the tank, wait till I get my 3090 back from RMA. https://www.3dmark.com/fs/25505543

2021-05-06 19:48:44 +0000 UTCBest firestrike result since ever on 3Dmark firestrike https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/61323103 hitting the 4949mhz marker. Also passed stability check with really stable without any issues at all. Hybrid OC enabled with P1/P2 and P3 with average on evga 3080 ftw3 ultra from 61 degrees. I really like this.

2021-05-04 08:30:11 +0000 UTChi Gufur, no worries, that's not rude at all. I dont even know what exactly is the difference between samples. here is my last diagnostic i've just done

2021-05-04 08:30:03 +0000 UTCYou should lower PX High Frequency to 4850 Mhz, that may help with your stability problems

2021-05-03 20:57:17 +0000 UTCThank you very mich. I appreciate the fest feedback and will wait for tomorrow and next update. At this moment i tuned up lil bit and using hybrid mode with p2 and px together but since p2 is triggered from 30% usage and my game is using max 15% the px remain active i guess. I only worry about high spikes but its running like a charme since i had before max 4.5ghz while gaming and now its running between 4.5 and 4.9 on 4threads (core2 and 3) which are two fastest on first ccx. But i must say i never used this tool until today. I was only reading about. Thanks once again.

2021-05-03 20:55:19 +0000 UTCHi. AMD, the motherboard manufacturer or have an equal chance to make a mistake in their product, it is normal. At the moment all AGESA for Zen 3 have support. Also AGESA can affect CTR stability and results.

2021-05-03 19:43:50 +0000 UTCThank you for your support. The second video lesson with explanations will be available tomorrow. Also tomorrow I plan to publish a very important update (stability + performance). The program is quite complex and it will take some time to become a professional in it. The original plan was that PX could not work by itself. Improving the performance, changing parameters is a future lesson. Since you are already a subscriber, this month will be interesting for you.

2021-05-03 19:41:43 +0000 UTCHi Yuri, my first gaming experience with p1/p2 and px enabled felt unstable so i only left activated the PX profile and since that one the cpu is always running on highrates and this is what makes obvious gaming experience better. Is it a bad thing if, for example, i leave p1 and p2 profiles running on autoload as hybrid but turning them down and activate PX profile before i start a game? or activating / deactivating profiles often can lead to system instabilities? According to CTR i have a golden sample (whatever that means again) as CPU. ***ClockTuner for Ryzen 2.1 RC5 by 1usmus*** AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO BIOS ver. 3501 SMU ver. 56.50.00 TABLE ver. 3672069 DRAM speed 3800 MHz 05/03/2021 21:10:20 P1 FREQ CCX1# 4475MHz FREQ CCX2# 4475MHz VID# 1175mV Usage trigger# 81% OB CCX1# 11 OB CCX2# -3 P2 FREQ CCX1# 4625MHz FREQ CCX2# 4600MHz VID# 1275mV Usage trigger# 30% OB CCX1# 11 OB CCX2# -3 PX FREQ HIGH# 4900MHz FREQ MID# 4750MHz FREQ LOW# 4625MHz VID HIGH# 1375mV VID MID# 1375mV VID LOW# 1350mV OB HIGH# 14 OB MID# 27 OB LOW# 27 Usage trigger# 11% PX OB LIMIT# 125MHz

2021-05-03 19:11:36 +0000 UTCOut of curiosity, does the AGESA version matter? I'm currently still on 1.2.0.0. My motherboard vendor has a 1.2.0.1 patch A and a beta 1.2.0.2 (soon to be not beta I presume) out. I haven't updated my BIOS as I don't have the USB issues these versions address. I was just wondering if, once 1.2.0.2 is stable for my MOBO, if updating the bios to this AGESA version will in anyway be incompatible with CTR or will affect the performance? Not sure if it even has anything to do with CTR but figured I'd ask since it's a pain to downgrade my BIOS. Thanks!

2021-05-03 18:06:38 +0000 UTCHi Yuri, i dont jnow what ctr is doing but while i dont see these high numbers like when i was testing oc over bios i feel perf. improvement while working. I dont know how it will be with running games on this machine. I‘ll test this later. But since you put so much effort i decided to subscribe and support this project. Keep up! Looking for bew things and to understand how ctr is working and how i should use it correct but you got my support already! Pozdrav, Dalibor

2021-05-03 16:27:07 +0000 UTC@ darokka No spesial bios settings used.. I use my own memory + soc/IOdie settings/voltages, the main thing that's important is that they are stable. Current capability = 140%, LLC = level 4, Power phase control = extreme and a pretty good custom waterloop with a TechN zen3 waterblock.. I also have tweaked all my voltages for maximum performance as i dont really care about watt as my cooling setup can handle a sustained 300watt workload on my 5950x @ Hoschi _1975 Dont know why i score better than others in CPU-Z.. Before the dynamic clock i used to score ~680 points with CTR.. Now i score 700-715 depending on temp with dynamic CTR. Maybe try to up the OB for PX high ? Earlier i have tried to disabled one CCD on my 5950x and watched the ST score drop in CPU-Z.. Are you guys running single CCD cpus ? (5600x and 5800x)

2021-05-02 12:40:35 +0000 UTCHi Yuri, Hi Dom, I got a question for the both of you. @Dom did you tweak your bios in any way to achieve these numbers apart from things that are suggested by Yuris Guide @Yuri if someone wants to push their cpu a little further. Lets say somewhere in the middle of standard and Dom(I belief he is pushing it tot he max), what would you suggest we should do? Set higher PBO limits etc.?! Thanks for your suggestions and help

2021-05-01 09:23:20 +0000 UTCWhy do you think it's a CTR problem?
Yuri Bubliy
2021-05-01 09:12:28 +0000 UTCSeems like CTR 2.1 RC5 build18 still have problems with the SotTR benchmark Yuri.. Think i'm experiencing the "rocking the boat" effect you mentioned earlier. (?) Like if i run a static OC lets say i have a pretty stable ~320 CPU Game fps in a certain part of the shadow of the tombraider benchmark, but with with CTR dynamic the fps is bouncing between 340 CPU Game fps and 260 CPU Game fps all the time, lowering the average fps.. (my highscore in this benchmark is 300 cpu game fps @ 1080p lowest settings, so i know how to bench it..) Is this a known problem ? Have also done a new threadscaling benchmark in CinebenchR20 with that hopefully is my new 24/7 settings, it is atleast 5x IBT very high + light-workloads stable so far 1 thread = 662 points ( 2 threads = 1309 points 4 threads = 2544 points 6 threads = 3796 points 8 threads = 4991 points 10 threads = 6083 points 12 threads = 7212 points 14 threads = 8139 points 16 threads = 8708 points 20 threads = 9400 points 24 threads = 10183 points 28 threads = 11123 points 32 threads = 12158 points PX high = from 1 to 2 threads @ 5025mhz (100 OB) PX mid = from 3 to 4 threads @ 4900mhz (100 OB) PX low = from 5 to 9 threads @ 4825mhz (100 OB) P2 = from 10 to 24 threads @ 4800/4675mhz (29/0 OB) P1 = from 25 to 32 threads @ 4750/4625mhz (29/0 OB) Screenshots @ https://imgur.com/a/rIDGapf
