Liz and I did some revisions on Tapia's family (sorry Grandma, there wasn't too much we found we could do with you). We decided that Tapia's parents were forced to return to their country of origin, leaving the sisters in the care of their uncle, Oskar, a long-time denizen of St. Charlies neighbor Bradydale.
Soft spoken and shy with a big heart, Oskar cares deeply about his nieces but is utterly clueless about how to raise kids, let alone teenage girls. He's a good provider of food and roofs over heads, but Eloisa is doing most of the raising of Tapia.
This pic reminds me a little of the first drawing of Clem, heh. Either Oskar is generally baffled, or somehow he knows he's an expy and it's blowing his mind. For what it's worth, Tapia gets a lot more screen time than her donk family members, so I won't necessarily have to think up referential jokes from dawn till dusk.

My and Oskar's favorite soccer team is the all-rodent roster that is the New York Sewer Ratz. WRECK IT, RATZ!
