Do the birdfolk of WwF kiss? They can, but it's awkward. Birds are much more comfortable preening the manes (or feathers, or antennae, etc) of their loved ones with their beaks. Now how about sharkfolk? Sharks show affection by harmlessly nibbling the ones they love. They know what they are doing and they aren't out to break skin or spread pain, but the experience can be...somewhat jarring. If you're willing to let those many, many serrated chompers near your most vulnerable attributes, it must be a sign of true love! Mazeltov!

Don't be too worried about Kore. She trusts Nadine (regardless of the feathered one's /grouse/ing) and she's not a corvid of faint heart! Don't worry about Merla either. She's just as happy as a /clam/, soaking up Mommy's affection.

Notation from Liz: You'll recall that Nadine is technically Merla's much older sister, but Merla calls her Mommy, and Kore is Mom.
