Lark, Shark and Barn Owl

Halloween is coming up next month, and you know I love every second of spooky season.  In its honor I'm introducing Rudy and Annalise's elementary school bullies, a troublesome lark, shark and barn owl!

Link Larksley is a horned lark chick, and the self-proclaimed king of the playground.  He is a brat and an instigator who loves nothing more than picking on kids who are younger and smaller than himself.  Link considers his gift of the gab (and trash talk) to be second to none, and to be honest he would rather hurt your feelings than resort to physical violence.  When he does choose to throw hands, the smaller but better equipped Rudy invariably kicks his ass.  Link never learns.  Also his name is a reference to Link Larken from Hairspray.  I like musicals.

Sharlene Shokra is a goblin shark pup, and easily the most dangerous of the trio.  She is the muscle of Link's organization, and she presents a genuine danger to anyone who crosses them.  However, Sharlene thinks Link is pretty stupid, and she only hangs out with him because she enjoys the havoc he wreaks.  She is very likely to betray Link if he gives her a good enough reason, or if somebody else makes her a better offer.  She is allergic to /tuna/, her Achilles fin.

Barold Bones is a barn owl chick.  No doubt he's an odd kid who makes us kind of uncomfortable, but in reality he's not a bad fellow, and he only participates in the mentioned havoc because he really wants Link and Sharlene to like him.  He writes poetry and gets good grades, but don't tell Link that.  Barold has a big sappy crush on Annalise, and if anyone tries to harm her, Barold will go berserk, despite any orders Link tries to impose upon him.  Annalise currently reports that Barold is a gross dumb-head who chooses to affiliate with bad company.

TLDR: Lock, Shock and Barrel expies, we've got them.  This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween.
