Acceptance In The 90s

The 90s were a faraway dystopian time when this sort of dialogue was the closest thing a lot of us had to gay allyship.  Don't even get me started on trans allyship, we didn't know what that was.

Obviously this was before hypocritical toddlers Itzel and Riley (and by extension myself) were out of the closet.

"Dude, wouldn't it be like weird to have one just ask you out like that?" "Word, man" "..." "..." "Wanna go get a pizza?" "Hell yeah."

Jose Rosa

"I'd rather hit on them." "What?" "What?"

Fortunately for all involved I don't think these two were that popular with guys, heh

Must Love Frogs

I'm certain I used that exact sentence when I was younger. Yeesh.

Tineid

Oof, yeah. We've made a lot of progress since then, but not NEARLY enough.

Oof, cringy memory unlocked. I remember me and my friends saying this in junior high. The arrogance (thinking you need to "approve" of a group of people) and total lack of self-awareness is real! My friends and I all discovered we were some flavor of queer within about a year. Can I assume it was the same for these two? Did they ever go through a compulsory hetero phase, where they tried to date/have interest in guys because that's just what you were supposed to do?

Lopoddity

Sad but true.
