Added 2024-01-15 19:00:03 +0000 UTCi absolutely adored this session. i love tying with lavender, and we get to so infrequently. we hadn’t seen each other in a good while—six months, maybe. i know i shouldn’t be surprised that we settle into a flow so easily every time, even after so long. she is so fragile yet resilient, so strong yet moldable. and she sinks into my ropes so gracefully.
my goal for the tie was the shape you see in the first photo. but getting someone into a face-up position in a tk without it looking like doodoo has always been a challenge for me. i’m honestly not completely sure how was got here, and i kind of love that. i believe it was a sort of cartwheel, starting with what you see in the fourth photo.
this was also my first time shooting 35mm film with an off camera flash. you can see that the focus on a few of these is mediocre at best, but boy oh boy i was *thrilled* that they turned out at all. i had planned this to be my test roll and my impatient self said well, fuck it. no regerts, amirite.
