Uncle B, As a bass player and noodling guitar player, I'd love to see a series on bass, great idea! Couldn't agree more with your assessment of RD. He is one heckuva musician all around and one of my favs too. I'm all ears and fingers, do it!

All for more bass (and rhythm) content.

This was golden! Digging this series.
Now I’m not a fan, but I heard Def Leppard’s Photograph recently. But it actually has some excellent guitar work on it.

So I consider myself a bass player before a guitar player and Robert Deleo is one of my favorite bassists and song writers of all time. I absolutely adore STP. When their first album came out it was the third CD I ever bought for myself back when I was *checks notes* ten years old. I can't wait to dig into this video and learn this song. Dean is such a monster guitar player and tone lord. To answer your question, I would love to see more bass content from you. Some early The Fixx songs have KILLER bass lines that could fit right in with your yacht rock vibes. Another obvious suggestion would be some Tool or more STP. Geezer, Duff McKagan... These are all bass players I feel like have a unique style that compliments and uplifts the guitar players and riffs of their respective bands..... as in, the guitar driven music would sound completely different if a different or more vanilla bass player was in the band. I've always been so amazed how a guitar player can play three or four chords and set a feel to the song but a bass player can come in and completely change how the chords sound and the whole feel of the song just by switching up notes and rhythm. That's why I love playing bass so much. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I went to an Andy wood clinic in Tampa last week. The only reason I know who he is, is due to the predator episode of D&L. Beyond impressive, thanks uncle Ben. See you in Tampa soon?

Ben, thanks for the lesson. Great band, great song. It would’ve been nice if you shared the chord charts for the base chords. Love ya bud!

24:18 - "For the love of God, please learn how to strum chord progressions!" Anyone have any video or course recommendations for that? Here or otherwise?
