I'm SOOOOOO excited about this.... Synergy has delivered a LEGIT Dual Rec alternative!!! It's always been so weird to me that there's a zillion different Plexi's, AC30's, Bassman's, and what have you.... but only ONE Rec. Other companies haven't even TRIED to capture the classic low end girth, mid scoop, and bristling top end of the early 90's Recs... until now!!!
I wrote this slab of Meshuggah worship called Large Moving Torb (bonus points to the first person to get the reference) to demonstrate the powers of the DRECT, enjoy the download!
And enjoy a peek at the Ibanez Universe UV777BK I just snagged! I've wanted this guitar since 1999, and there's kind of a special story to go with it... on the NEXT episode of Meet the Machines!
Also, I get a LOT of questions about the Synergy stuff, so I think I need to do some more videos on them. It's a modular amp system that can be INSANELY versatile. Imagine building a 4 channel rig with 2 Dual Rec channels for dirt and 2 Fender Deluxe channels for cleans and light breakup... with Synergy, that's possible. Kinda thinking about doing a "building the perfect gig rig with Synergy" series; Imagine building the perfect hair metal rig, yacht rock rig, djent rig, classic rock rig, etc, just by selecting the right modules! Lemme know if you all like that idea!
