Same riff, same initial thoughts. Picked up the bass because none of my friends played it/had one. I remember thinking "if I can just play that riff without mistakes, I'll be GOOD!" Fast forward some 28 years later, and I can play the riff but I'm still waiting on considering myself "good".
2022-03-09 17:41:29 +0000 UTCRad! I initially thought I wanted to be a bass player as well, and found inspiration in Simon Gallup of the Cure. Like Mike Dirnt, Simon almost always has the hardest parts to play in the Cure. Thanks for sharing this Ben!
