What it truly means to make a Montage. (What I do as an editor)
Added 2022-10-23 00:40:58 +0000 UTCHey everyone, hope you've all been well. I've personally been ok with very little time to edit due to my new full time job and me being back at school. As a recent film major, one of my readings deep dived into the art of the montage and where it first developed.
This particular passage spoke to me on a deep level because it revealed a true definition of what I do as an editor. It helped me assure my own artistic identity which gave me a significant level of comfort.
I've basically been a montage artist this whole time and didn't even know it haha. I knew the meaning of montage before, but not on a deep level like this.

It really does doesn't it? And thanks man, the idea of a research paper is as equivalent in hard work as a full montage. I'm a very visual person so presenting what I've researched in a visual medium is so much better for me.
