Alright, what’s your character?
Trish
I’m going Inquisitive Rogue with the Magic Initiate feat. My character has the supernatural ability to manipulate objects without touching them.
MMS
Like… Mage Hand?
Trish
Mage Hand, yeah.
MMS
Alright.
Trish
Oh, can I reflavour my race? Nominally my character’s human, but I want half-orc stats for Relentless Endurance.
MMS
Uh… sure, I guess. Background?
Trish
Criminal background, Spy variant. I’m thinking like a James Bond type.
MMS
Are you just playing James Bond?
Trish
Would I do that?
MMS
You know you would do that.
Trish
I would do that, yeah. But no, not this time. My character’s way less chatty than Bond, more of the stoic, silent type. Oh, and great at solving puzzles in unconventional ways.
MMS
You seriously expect me to believe you’re not messing with me somehow?

2025-11-06 17:32:30 +0000 UTCLet's see: Spy, basically psychic "You can't lie to me" powers (the inquisitor rogue), has a "get out of death saves free" card. magic, grabby hand from a distance, thingy Stoic, unconventional puzzle solving. If the answer is "all of the puzzles involve murder" I'll be disappointed, the euphemism for that is "problem solving" The thing that's tripping me up is the mage hand allegory. Spy + mage hand, nothing comes to mind. And pretty much every video game character has a "get out of death saves free" card, so that doesn't narrow it down much / at all.
