Love the pacing of this chapter. Thanks!

2025-02-24 22:44:20 +0000 UTCThe only problem I have with this chapter is Valiant talking about dark roast as the best coffee. Light and ultralight roasts are better at bringing out the true flavor of the beans and a more nuanced flavor in general. There's not really a specialty roaster today that does dark roasts often.

2025-02-22 19:24:53 +0000 UTCGreat chapter - it was way past time Helios exited the stage. Some minor points below: The golem can supposedly move unbelievably fast. Why doesn't Adom simply tell the golem to carry him when injured ? > [01 day, 9 hours, 49 minutes] Why did he get the heart-attack a day early ? > Above them, Helios hovered near the ceiling Since when can Helios fly ? He just did an air-dive before this sentence too. He seems to gain new capabilities to upgrade his [Boss Level]. > Their food consisted entirely of the chicken Valiant conjured How is Valiant conjuring chicken ? > He sighed, looking at the roses scattered around him. Where did the roses come from ? Were they always there ?

2025-02-20 05:09:04 +0000 UTCLet's spoil a little bit of the (deserved) praise. Although this is a nice wrap-up of Helios and didn't introduce another new story arc and also combined story telling with levelling up in a 'natural' narrative, there are still a few advices/comments I think. It is a pity that this possibility wasn't introduced earlier. We have now had three possibilities of an 'impossible' cure. The one from the future that didn't come to fruition, the one from the elixer spend on Bob and this one that was discovered and resolved within part of this chapter. It seems wild in the first place that none of those were discovered by somebody else. Though I like the way the resolution is worked out in the details, it is still another example of the whole story not evolving on a meta level. There are so many opportunities to intertwine different aspects of the story, yet it keeps moving from one incident to the next. And that is worrisome when looking at the resolution of the total story or story arc. The ingredients are good, the care for detail is good, there are some very nice aspects to the levelling up, yet the creativity in blending loose ends and other story lines into surprising story twists can be on a higher level IMHO, considering the obvious talent

2025-02-19 01:17:51 +0000 UTCGod Damn indeed! I understand all the comments now! I was actually really lucky! I managed to set this down in the short beginning parts before Helios appeared otherwise I would have read that in the middle of the night instead of sleeping then lol. Great chapter I found 2 typo's but sadly did not have the wherewithal to remember where sorry. This was an extremely grippind and satisfying conlusion! I actually still stand by my prior point that the way you start this arc make it feel a bit too similar to the forced Labyrinth Arc and too quickly after that went so long, but damn if the conclusion and payoff are not perhaps the most satisfying thing I read in months!

2025-02-16 11:13:25 +0000 UTCWell holy shit... The funny thing is I'm always complaining about short chapters but have yet to manage to finish this one... However I just saw that he meets his parents in one of the new chapters and I wanted to at least be certain when I go for this read I want to catch up at least to a point where Adom leaves the dungeon. Now I guess I have no more excuses, some time today this monster of a chapter must be devoured lmao!! But thats going to take me at least 45min if not an hour even though I would say I'm about through with 10% already lol. Would definitely HIGHLY recommend posting this as 2 chappys on RR people tend to dislike giant chapters there in my experience xD

2025-02-13 06:36:35 +0000 UTCThis took much longer than I had hoped, and I'm sorry for the delay. I had to mix two very long long chapters, cut a lot of scenes in them, while keeping it coherent, which resulted in a 15k words chapter. I hope this is enjoyable. It marks the end of the illness arc, which I thought deserved a bit more... originality than having him just make a potion. The next chapter, we will be resuming the world's arc, and ending the book in a few chapters, and start book 2. Please let me know if there are any typos, or feedback. And thank you all for reading :)
