Instead of having just a Ranma and Akane or Ranma and Shampoo why not try some of the more exotic choices like say Ranma and Nabiki or Kasumi? Especially Kasumi when she was Oni Possessed. I think those would be much more exciting choices.

Every other month, if there was more than one comic unfinished, that month was dedicated to finishing whichever one the community voted to see completed. When all the Unfinished Comics were completed, that stopped. I don't understand why we haven't gone back to that model now that we've got Unfinished Comics again.

2020-07-08 22:30:19 +0000 UTCHe's trying to be fair to everyone. Everybody gets a chance to submit their ideas every month. So, there is always the same nomination process. New comics don't always lose to unfinished comics, even Autobutts. If there is too much of a backlog again, he can do a runoff but it was only two slots this time. Like I said, the Autobutts voters are very consistent over every other fandom so they often win, even with two-tiered voting. If not on hiatus, they will likely nominate a sequel, but they get the same opportunity as everyone else.

I can only speak for myself, but I was very reluctant on voting since I knew the Transformers topic was available. Golden rule here is if Autobutts can be voted on, there's a 99.9% chance of it winning lol.

What I'm saying is that if Doc has these unfinished or "needs an end" comics in the back of his mind, then what's the point of asking us for suggestions to then have them go against these big time, fan favorite, unfinished things when all he could do is ask us which one should be finished this time around. It kinda has the feeling of a small sliver of hope for something new in the beginning of voting, only to have something like Autobutts come in and remove that hope because you know that what's the majority of fans want in the end. I'm probably missing something but oh well.

2020-07-08 17:29:08 +0000 UTCSometimes comics don't finish out (run long, time constraints, scheduling issues, etc.). So, after the hiatus period, they pop up again in the list of nominations so Doc can finish them. So, Spiderverse and Autobutts came back. When the Patreon first started, a backlog of unfinished comics started to pile up before things were more streamlined. Folks gripe with Autobutts though is that it has dedicated fans. So, it pretty consistently returns to the ballot with sequels and spin-offs. It's part of the reason we do hiatus periods.

Yeah things can or need to have an end, and I got nothing against Spiderverse or Autobutts, but it just seems like a waste of time since we more than likely already know who the winner is from the jump lol.

I think if it gets to two or three unfinished stories,he might as well use that as a 'catch up' month. Gets them taken care of without getting in the way of new ideas. My only regret was the last one in the vote got nerfed because it was an 'automatic win' and as such, a couple of its pages were taken to add a couple more to the previous' month's comic.

Sure, you can say they're super advanced robots that have sex drives and feel pleasure, but if at least one human woman isn't involved (or a remarkably human-woman shaped alien/demihuman/slime girl/water elemental/etc isn't involved, then I personally don't get it. Obviously, in this group, this puts me in the minority. I'm waiting for the robot people and the foot fetish crowd to discover each other to create porn of guys jacking off on landing gear.

That way, people still get to vote but Doc has the final say. I personally feel his best comics come from themes and topics he likes. Monster Humper World was a good example of that.

Sometimes, I think things would be better if every other month things went back to the old way it was, where Fred would provide us a small number of options and the vote would be between those. It would guarantee that Fred gets to do something he's actually interested in doing more regularly than once every 3 months.

This is the funny/sweet/lewd story more people want to see more of right this second. When/if they get bored of it, it'll stop being pitched. I'm sure BD would mix it up a bit more if it was completely up to him. Frankly I'd advocate for a seperate ongoing AutoButts patreon with pages coming out as he finishes them, while this patreon continues with suggestions, but the workload is probably bad enough as it is.

My only thing is that it feels like a jebait to add previous choices into the final round like that, ESPECIALLY when its Transformers, a topic that pretty much wins when its available for voting. Not a fan of Cap and WW but it would have fit for this month, it being July you know. :\

Why not Optimus x Jack's mom, Bulkhead x NIco again, or Bumble bee with whoever. God I nominated for Soundwave x Airacne a few years ago before she switched with the autobots.

Cap/WW (biased because I want to see that), and something called Tsunade and Naruto (don't at me!) toped the prelim at 20 and 22% respectively; but both are in a dead heat for the bronze medal in the poll finals.....with transformers and spider-verse leading the pack at 39 and 23% respectively. Two choices, that have been done before, that came out of "nowhere" after the prelim poll, that we have seen before (Six, yes 6 autobutt full color comics, and 1 spider-verse), garnered 62% of the vote as of now! I love the way Doc pencils, inks, and colors: and I am definitely in the Doc fan club, but I am biased. I really want my Cap & WW...what about Bats and WW...Supes and WW....I just wanna see Doc draw WW!!!!!!!

So no matter what Transformers is going to win. The best case would probably be having Transformer when allowed to be voted for again to not even have it in the first two polls and have a third poll of people choosing between the two, transformers or the one everyone voted for.
