VOTES TALLIED. (Some votes weren't actually valid, but in the end, Starfire and Robin won.

2017-07-12 02:56:19 +0000 UTCAs much as I had hoped to see what I voted for get picked, there is still going to be new, ultra-sexy art by Fred. I figure that's a win, anyway you cut it.

2017-07-09 21:24:02 +0000 UTCI would maybe even suggest top 5 or 4, just so that when one wins the final vote, it will have a much higher likelyhood of getting over 50% of the total votes.

2017-07-08 18:32:40 +0000 UTCSo... the top 10 likes get into the ballot? that would certainly cut down on the confused ballot. I'll try it.

2017-07-08 14:06:03 +0000 UTCYeah, I ended up not voting for my own nomination because I ended up being torn between a few other choices.

2017-07-08 04:38:04 +0000 UTCYeah, that sounds like a good idea. As more people join the Patreon, the field of nominations will just become unmanageable. Bootydoc has already noted how there almost too many nominations to fit on this ballot. By counting multiple seconds, you could narrow things down to a list of the most popular nominations. So, you are left with nominees that most voters would probably like, even if its not one they ultimately vote for. With fewer choices, you could determine a clearer majority. Also, voters wouldn't feel like they wasted their vote on outliers that no one else ends up voting for. I would also be cool with Bootydoc having more input on the vote, if he wants.

2017-07-08 04:29:45 +0000 UTCBut currently, the field is so large, that I think fewer people will be pleased with what gets chosen each month.

2017-07-08 02:29:39 +0000 UTCI personally have felt fred should have some input for a while now as well. I think he should at least be able to nominate something he might personally want to do. I always feel like even pairings I don't like work well when he is really into it.

2017-07-08 02:28:32 +0000 UTCAnother idea might be for people to make suggestions or nominations but people don't second them, Fred picks the 5 to 10 he would enjoy doing and then we vote on those, it keeps the list smaller while everyone can still participate and Fred gets to put in his input as well. The only catch would be if Fred doesn't pick your idea you can't complain (otherwise Fred would feel bad and there goes the fun of it!)

2017-07-07 22:26:25 +0000 UTCYeah, I've seen that Starfire/Robin one for awhile now.I like the Teen Titans, but I think Fred should just do it and get it out of the way for other stuff to have a chance.
RanmaChaos
2017-07-07 20:04:26 +0000 UTCyeah, i think some sort of system change would be good. we make too scattered a field and then an idea winds up winning with only a small portion of overall potential votes. A system that lends itself to voting for an actual majority and not simply the highest percentage would help alleviate this. But it would require either a system like you are proposing, or runoff style voting that would add more work for fred and more diligence from patrons in voting when voting is up.
Excel Sior
2017-07-07 20:03:20 +0000 UTCyeah, i feel like there are four or five ideas I'd vote for, but all of them continually lose to teen titans ideas each month. Not to knock the people that want to see them, but I've personally checked out on those stories.
Excel Sior
2017-07-07 20:00:40 +0000 UTCThere were a lot of really great choices this time around(to me at least). I hope you keep the idea's around for next time.
RanmaChaos
2017-07-07 19:58:30 +0000 UTCMaybe instead of a nomination round as it stands, people put forth their ideas and the ones the gets the most likes or seconds move to the actual voting round but they have to get so many likes or votes to qualify (say 5), that way only ideas that people actually like and are willing to vote for actually make it to the voting round

2017-07-07 18:37:48 +0000 UTCI still think runoff style of voting will be the most effective, but it will require us patrons to pay a little more attention and vote more than once.
Excel Sior
2017-07-07 16:57:31 +0000 UTCThe list is already full. And I didn't get a correction when I posted the prototype.
Booty Doc
2017-07-07 13:52:49 +0000 UTCYou might be right about that....
Booty Doc
2017-07-07 13:52:01 +0000 UTCYeah, and it gets harder to decide. I am not sure if I want to even vote on my nomination because there are so many good ones this time around.
Joshua Wolfe
2017-07-07 12:40:23 +0000 UTCStarting to think we need 2 seconds. These lists get longer and longer.

2017-07-07 05:34:30 +0000 UTCHate to be "That Guy", Sir, but you missed Nabiki Tendo & Ranma Saotome (Ranma 1/2) which was nominated by John McGrath and seconded by Argenten.

2017-07-07 04:24:23 +0000 UTCThe character isn't always the actor, even if they share a bit of a likeness. The movie "My Name is Bruce" even tackles that subject. Kinda how Nick Fury and Samuel L Jackson or the Bond actors inform one another, but are different guys.
Chris Scott
2017-07-07 03:58:25 +0000 UTCI'm shocked you were willing to do the Ash one at all, aren't you often on the Con circuit? And isn't Bruce too? I mean the chances it would lead to awkwardness are still relatively tiny, but I'd feel weird.

2017-07-07 03:18:36 +0000 UTCLooks good! That's a long list. the patreon app makes a selection when you try to scroll down the list on your phone. Hopefully that doesn't count as a vote change.

2017-07-07 03:07:29 +0000 UTCwhew. Just under the max vote limit. For future reference if it goes over nomination limit I will remove the votes that were **2nded** last until it fits.
