So Lan Zhan kneeling in the snow was a punishment for having visited Wei Wuxian. I think that if his own clan has such a negative reaction because he spent less than a day in the burial mounds then telling the world about what he saw there likely won't do anything but work against him, since the Wen name is still really hated by others. It's so disheartening to watch how Wei Wuxian slowly becomes more and more aware of how cut off he really is from the rest of world, and learning about his sister's upcoming wedding is one of those moments. But it is a little comforting to know that the Wen remnants do worry about him, they are grateful for all he has sacrificed and they try to show their appreciation. Thank you so much for this reaction!
