it hurts my heart to see people afraid of wei wuxian.... he's normally a teddy bear snowflake and now people are terrified for their lives... what is happening to him.. :(

Wei Wuxian has always been impulsive, but you can definitely see that impulsiveness changing into something a little more aggressive as his mental wellbeing worsens more and more due to demonic cultivation. And even thought his heart is in the right place like you said, the fact that his behavior is so abrasive towards a clan that very powerful is a little worrying. As you said towards the end of the episode, the Wen name became a very dangerous thing, as we see people that were not involved in the war suffer all these atrocities just because they carry that name.
