That cross-roads demon at the end, the actresses name is Sandra McCoy. She was Jared's long time girlfriend at the time. Obviously they have since broken up considering Jared is now married with kids to another actress named Geniveve. But just a little behind the scenes information. It's interesting finding out these things and then going back to rewatch the episode, and seeing how they balance off of each other. They were in a lot of movies together actually.

I totally agree with you that someone had the idea for this and that it just didn't come together well. And it is totally fine for you to admit anything you don't like. We expect it. We may not always agree, but an honest reaction is the best. I laughed out loud when you made that comment when Sam was bending down to bury the box at the crossroads. No one else has ever commented on it, so I don't know if many people ever notice it. I didn't notice it for a long time. I would love to hear someone bring it up as a question at one of the convention panels with Jared. That would be hilarious. When the one victim said that thing about knowing what it's like to lose your brother, I always think that Yeah. Dean knows exactly what it's like. It's happened to him. But, saying that, it is still sucky for him to then put the same thing on Sam. What I wonder is why he thinks that? He has to know that Sam would hurt just as much if he were gone. But, actually, I don't think he does know that. Not really. Sam was able to leave the family. Heck, Sam Wanted to leave the family. We've learned that that's something Dean wouldn't want to do. Couldn't do. He's said that. Now with their dad gone, Sam is all he has. So he is being selfish, but I think he's also feeling like Sam would recover easier and quicker, because he's shown that he can do fine without his family. Last episode Dean made a comment to Bobby about being worried about Sam being different. I think there's some validity in being a bit worried. Sam is not as 'gentle' as he used to be. He was able to shoot the two demons without a thought in the last episode. Last year's Sammy - Season 1 Sammy would have tried to exorcise them first. But he knows that would be too risky. So, it could go either way. The fact that he had that cold look on his face is what I think Dean was worried about. I thought it looked like he almost got off on it. Like when he killed Jake. And then he had that look after killing the crossroads demon in this episode. But, what does it really mean. I personally wasn't sure when I first watched this season. I did keep in mind what Yellow Eyes said to Dean, so I was worried. But I was also worried about Dean's Deal, so seeing the end of this episode did NOT make me happy. But I still had hope Ruby would help and be quick about it. Okay. I've written a book, so I'll stop here. Except to add a very shallow bit, because it has to be said. One of my favorite bits in this episode was the last hospital scene after Dean and Sam have that serious little chat and Dean walks away. I love watching Dean walking away with is adorable bow legs proudly displayed. I love those bowed things. lol Thanks!
