Also meant to say I think Yann will absolutely come to the realization that he's being selfish and it's not all about him after all. It's jealousy that Lucas has been showing his real self the to girls all this time. Is it right of Yann? Absolutely not. But it just shows how young he is and I liked having a twist like that.

Yann's reaction made me cry. I literally just yelled out, "Nooooooo!!" as he was walking away. I'm not happy with him but at the same time he's just a kid and it's a huge thing to take in about someone who is supposed to be your absolute best friend. It sounds like jealousy and disappointment that Lucas wouldn't or couldn't come to him and feel like he could trust him. I think Yann must be hurt and is clearly not thinking of how alone Lucas has been feeling and must be feeling now that he has confessed his biggest secret and has been told that it is basically too much for Yann to handle right now.Omg. I don't know what it is about this particular season of SKAM France but I'm so impressed. The acting is phenomenal, the music is stunning and overall, I'm hooked on how it's progressing.

completely agree. it’s not about him. he has no idea the strength it took lucas to tell him only for him to react that way.

"it's not fucking about you, YANN..." True. But I still like what they did here. It's keeping with the realism that we love from Skam. Because teens DO have a tendency to make it all about themselves, so I don't see Yann's reaction as being unrealistic. I like how you describe the Jonas character though. So accurate! I mean, that is OG Jonas's bio summarized in three steps. LOL

I think we needed an episode where the coming out part didn't go well. Because Lucas is going to get through this, and that's the important part. In fact, part of me wishes there was a version in which the Isak character comes out and gets met with outright rejection. As painful as that would be, it's important to show young gay teens that even if you're coming out doesn't go well---even if the WORST possible scenario happens---you get through it! With all that being said, I'm sure Yann is going to come around and he and Lucas will smooth things over. Oh, and the Lucas/Manon scene: 10/10!!

even if it's not that he's a homophobe, even if it's just because he's upset he was told "last"... it's not fucking about you, YANN... this was so disappointing. I get that reactions vary, cultures vary, maybe this was "realistic".... but in the whole series, the Jonas character is summarized as 1) smokes weed 2 ) contributes to his girlfriend's insecurity and paranoia by lying and keeping secrets and 3) FUCKING SUPPORTS HIS GAY BEST FRIEND LIKE A BOSS! Yann is fired.
