I wasn’t expensing Magnus to give up his magic to save Jace either but I should’ve expected it since he’s the most selfless character like ever. Also in regards to Simon hypnotizing his mom, I think the reason he did it that way instead of the way you suggested is bc anyone who is in the know of the shadow world or is in contact with anyone from there is in danger of being hurt. Just look at Simon and Ollie as examples! Can’t wait for you to watch them live
