They ALWAYS get me with the twist they throw into episodes - I am rarely able to figure out where a story is going. One of the things I love about the show is that even with MOTW episodes, they weave in bits of the main story arc. It makes even mediocre episodes worth watching - plus a "bad" episode of Supernatural is still way better than most shows on TV. Can't wait for you to see the rest of the season. XXOO

2018-12-20 02:11:51 +0000 UTCI do like the vast majority of S2. I think I love this episode because of similar reasons to Ky - I like how it starts in the action and we gradually find out what has happened, I like how the police issue, St. Louis murder charges etc were addressed and I love the scene where Dean 'confesses' and the moments between the brothers like the note, the little push Sam gives Dean at the end etc.

So many good ones. There is one later in the season that is not quite as bad as Bugs, but is at the bottom of my list for this season. The rest are good, but varied. I like that.

This episode was decent, but not really on par with most of the other episodes this season. I think most people would say they don't care for it much. But I agree it is an interesting episode. Another thing useful from this episode is learning more about different types of spirits. The woman's spirit here was not like other spirits. Once the person who killed her was caught she was able to move on. So they didn't need to burn her corpse. They may have anyway. I don't think we know for sure that Sam and the cop didn't burn her corpse before driving away. Anyway - sometimes you don't need to burn the body or remains. Depends on the type of ghost and situation. And you are correct in the show keeping things fresh. It's really good about that. The show does experiment a bit and play around with . .. .Can't really say more than this. The actress playing the female detective was Linda Blair - she's famously known for playing the girl on the classic The Exorcist movie - 1973 Supernatural Horror film. Dean's comments as he and Sam were walking down the road refer to that movie. The pea soup is what she vomited up during the exorcism ritual. ugh I'm looking forward to the next episode. One of my favorites. For the rest of this season, there's only one episode I think is "bad", and that we could do without. For me, the rest of the season from here is great.
