Supernatural Season 1 Episode 6 UN-CUT REACTION!

What's really sad is Sam doing something every other child eventually does, ie leaving the nest, is perceived by Dean and his father as abandonment. Might as well be abandonment when he goes to elementary school. It's unfortunate but Dean really needs to realize he wasn't "stuck" -- more than anything, he made a choice Sam also made, albeit in the opposite direction.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this one - it's one of the best of the season (imo). The timeline can be a bit confusing, but I think it's: 1. We see ShapeshifterDean talking to Sam in the sewer, he puts the hood over Sam's head then goes out. 2. Rebecca is attacked by ShapeshifterDean at her house. 3. Dean and Sam come to in sewer and get out to go get the car. 4. Sam gets held by police and Dean hides/runs. 5. As Rebecca is walking home from police station (or she may have said hospital, I can't really remember) the next morning, she is grabbed by ShapeshifterDean and wakes up in sewer to see it shifting into "her". 6. Dean comes back to Impala next day and we see him getting weapons. 7. Dean goes into sewer and finds Rebecca. 8. ShapeshifterDean is back at Rebecca's house, about to kill Sam. Enjoying your reactions very much, I hope you'll continue to enjoy the show.

I was looking forward to your reaction to this episode because I know how much you love Dean and like you said, we get a first look into how he really feels inside which he hides well. I'll also never not get icked out over the scene where Shapeshifter Dean sheds his skin no matter how many times I've seen it. Yeah, the story is very much about the brothers who just happen to be hunters rather than hunters who just happen to be brothers if you see what I'm saying. Their relationship is definitely an important part of the show.

I do enjoy the writers being a bit naughty in this episode too. The fans want a bit of skin from the boys - sure, no problem, Jensen takes his shirt off. But before they can enjoy it, he carries on - er - stripping. Yuk! 😂😂

Glad you liked this one - me too. It's the first time we begin to have some insight into the real Dean behind the mask. If there is one 'plotline' that is never dropped throughout the seasons, it's the study of the brothers' characters and their relationship. This is only the start. I don't get why anyone calls someone "dad" (other than their actual fathers). It's icky and there could not be anything less hot.
