Luckily for you (as I'm sure you enjoy being surprised) SPN can be EXTREMELY hard to predict, especially after Season 1. I never try to guess what's going to happen. I like to let the story tell itself. But I know that some people like to guess. I find the really interesting thing that happened in Season 1 is the change in direction that it took. SPN was originally going to be all about the monsters. But it didn't take them long to realize that what the show in fact was about was the brothers and their relationship, so we get a lot of character development over time. Oh, and expect Jensen to take every opportunity to hit you in the feels!

i didnt know it was a demon. just was the first thing that popped into my head when i saw the black thing. it reminded me of the possession of a demon into Waverly from the show Wynonna Earp! yeah the Christo part was kinda weird to me. but no, i dont know anything about SPN! anything i get spot on is just a lucky guess. my family always says im annoying because i always guess whats going to happen lolol. Dean and Sam are amazing. like you said, it was never even a thought for them to not try and get on the plane that they knew was going to crash.

You really nailed it - behind Dean's (very pretty) exterior, behind his jokey, tough guy persona, he REALLY cares. They both do. I mean, they know that plane is going to crash and they see two options. Either Sam boards the plane alone or they go together. They don't even consider the obvious third alternative - i.e. NEITHER of them goes. It's not their business. Why should they risk their lives? But it doesn't even occur to them. I'm curious though how you knew it was a demon? You said 'demon' as soon as you saw the black substance. Did you know something about SPN lore? (They always have their own take on traditional folk myths. Most of the lore from this episode is actually revised later on - for one thing, the 'Christo' thing is never repeated. Maybe they thought, like me, that it sounded dumb)
