I was a fan f the books and every time they try to make them into a show or movie it's kind of cringey, they CW'd the holy hell out of it, sexing it up, trying to be edgey but there is a reason people like it, it's fun, can;t take it too seriously, and the eventual diversity in the show is somehting to hold onto. I hope someone picks up the show, it just gets better and better each season. S1 is kind of painful... #itgetsbetter lol

i noticed that too. kinda weird how their job is to protect humans but they look down to them.

one of the aspect of the shows that i really didn't like was how hateful i felt the shadowhunters were towards humans (mainly alec and jace) quite literally they look down on humans so much and the way shadowhunters look at themselves as the "superior race" really bothered me.

Mundanes are humans. Shadowhunters are half-human, half-angel people who protect the human world from demons. Downworlders are half-human, half demon people such as Warlocks (Magnus), Vampires, Werewolves, Seelies. Downworlders despite their demon blood aren't all bad guys. Warlocks like Magnus are immortal. Their are some good and bad Downworlders and some good and bad Shadowhunters. The bad shadowhunters who were trying to find Jocelyn are associated with Valentine and are members of the circle. There's a lot of prejudice between downworlders and shadowhunters but the rest will be explained as you watch
