SKAM Season 4 Episode 7 UN-CUT REACTION!

Comments

Isak didn’t recognize the chats because he never actually saw what was posted on Instagram. He only heard that Sara was talking shit about other girls online. He wouldn’t have cared enough to look into it more.

I agree-we(not teens) should all remember that this is a scene and a talk between two insecure&somewhat troubled teens.Yàll remember that age? I mean-do you really? In my opinion this scene played out really well-they kinda play ball with each other in a nice and slow way (Skam-style).Ofc Isak challenges Sana but not in a hateful way-she`s been pretty much awful to everyone as of lately, yet he takes the blame for her actions&TALKS to her. When this first aired in 2016 Isak took a lot of flak for "mansplaining" which is totally redicilous. He is simply (as a 17yr old kid) giving his bud (haha) another perspective.Note on the:it`s not the same comment about hijab being very visible&bein gayi is not. That is totally true-yet Sana is in a position where she can choose her religion-Isak does not have that that choice about his sexuality. Just sayin`

The talk between Sana and Isak wasn't perfect---but that's what made that scene so good. They're two 17 year old kids, so they don't have all the answers. It would've been unrealistic and cheesy had Isak said all the right things. It would've been like an after school special or something... What I hate about American shows is that they always have the teens going into some perfect lecture, saying all these wise and worldly things. It's so fucking unrealistic, not to mention it comes off as "preachy". It's like the shows are trying to resolve problems like racism and homophobia thru teenagers in a 30 minute show. LOL Skam always kept things more realistic, and it focused on PROMPTING debates rather than trying to resolve them. The idea is the viewers carry on the conversation that was introduced in the show.

Love the subtext in the first scene. Sana wants Yousef, but he says to her that she has to come get him.

I love the conversation between Sana and Isak, too. Even though Isak hasn’t experienced every day racism like Sana, he most definitely has had the same experience as her with being marginalised and being on the “other side”. It’s why it’s so scary coming out, yeah? Both of them live in a white, heterosexual, post-Lutheran society. I feel the point of her conversation with her sister-in-law was to let her have a breather with someone who understands perfectly what it is like to be a Muslim girl in Norway. Someone who’ll talk about their fasting but also the weird, one-shirt teacher. Great reaction and analysis, Ky Nicole. 😊

I felt the same way about their conversation... where my role was to listen even if I wasn't sure if either of them was right... I wasn't part of it, it was between them, and when they ended it both happy that's all I care about

watching Isak grow up... my god, he's so different from S1... I love him so much. he's not always right on, but he's trying... he's a good egg.

He knows about homofobic racism but of course not religous racism. Of course he do not have a hijab but when he goes outside with Even, then people will know he is gay. That is one of his biggest fears. I love that talk and think it is really realistic. Of course they can not feel the other persons feelings, because no one can do that, but they ending up really supporting each other. Because they both know how it feels to feel that you are different.❤️ And I personally do not feel that Sana is angry at Noora. She is hurt and sad. And do not know how to open up about her feelings. Because she have hiddden her feelings for everyone on every level for so many years. Because of her background story with bullying meeting racism and everything. It is so sad that she is messing up this bad. And she really now how it feels to be on the other side of the table. The talk with Jamila is importent because when she was younger Jamila always supported her when she got bullyed, but then they fighted last year....(hijab police story). Now they talk and Sana suddenly feel that someone can understand her. Jamila is married to one older brother of Sana.❤️

I love the Isak/Sana conversation - it's the best one in all of Skam

Yes, that is why I love this scene so much! Maybe it doesn't tell the whole truth, but it shows the conflict so well. And that is what it's really about. Listen to each other. Such an important discussion!

Charlotte

Ugh. I HATE the way the Sana/Isak scene ends. Isak doesn't know crap about racism. But I guess it's realistic.

Alex Hilbert

i wasn’t referring to that. i was referring to the Yousef/Noora situation!
