Because they don't charge for the month beforehand, people will delete their pledge and re-pledge after the payment is due to avoid ever paying. That's not only unfair to me, but insanely unfair to the dedicated people who DO pay monthly for the content. I spend a lot a lot a lot of time on YouTube and videos. it's a lot more difficult than it may seem. Especially doing uncut videos. To have people delete it before the payment is due so they get all the content without paying, is the biggest slap in the face. I find it disgusting that people do that when there's others who always pay monthly like they should.
I can see who deletes their pledge. This might seem harsh to people, but please use this as a warning from here on out.
If I see you delete your pledge and re-pledge after the first of the month, you'll be blocked from ever seeing my content or pledging again. Sorry if that seems harsh, but there's people that DO pay that don't deserve that. It's unfair and I will always handle situations with people's money incredibly seriously. So starting next payment, if I see anyone do it, you'll be blocked no questions asked.
For those of you who do legally pay monthly, thank you. I appreciate you more than anything. That's what bothers me the most about this. You guys support me and help me so much, so to have people do that, really upsets me.
Thank you guys again for all you do for me. It doesn't go unnoticed.

I got charged straight away and it informed me when my next payment would be coming out of my account so hopefully that means it has changed since you posting this. It kills me that people are ripping off creators, like ffs people! Hard work and time is put into this and it’s not right for someone to rip you off! I totally fell in love with your SKAM videos on YouTube and just had to get a Patreon account so I could see more! Please keep up your great work. 2018-07-11 14:38:21 +0000 UTCexactly. even if they want to keep it this way, if people repledge, just force them to pay upfront the second time to keep it from happening again. i just don’t understand why there isn’t anything done. it’s getting old. i know Joe lost like 75 patreons around $500. which shouldn’t be allowed. some people live off these payments and expect what it says.

I pledge 25 each month and cherish you guys' Patreon content more than cinema or Netflix because every time a video is out it feels like my favourite shows are kept alive and we get to relive them all over again. If the day comes, that someone isn't reacting to Skam anymore, I'll be sad and it'll feel extreamly empty without it. Everyone around me watched Skam live so these fresh eyes and new takes on the show means everything. This is a real deal, people who don't pay. This is a service you pay for, it's illegal not to hold your end of the bargain! It's 6.44 am, this was sad news to wake up to, I hope it works out, Ky! <3

2018-05-02 23:28:46 +0000 UTCHow weird that Patreon even allows a situation like that? I seem to remember a year or two ago that the pledges were "locked" (with a warning that the payment would be locked), so that you could not cancel and repledge. Why the change? Good luck to you Ky! <3
