Say hello to Auto Image Scrapper (AiS) — a simple, effective cleanup tool designed for Blender 4.3+ and created specifically to fix a common problem we all face: broken image paths causing save errors.

If you've ever deleted textures before cleaning your Blender file, and now you get a wave of "Unable to pack file" errors when saving... this is for you. 🙌

🔧 What AiS Does

With a single click, AiS will:

• Scan your project for unused or broken image paths

• Disable fake users (auto-protected blocks)

• Remove broken references safely

• Let you save a clean file — error-free and clutter-free.

💾 How to Install (ZIP Method)

• Download the auto_image_scrapper.zip

• Open Blender and go to: Edit > Preferences > Add-ons

• Click Install, then select the ZIP file

• Enable the add-on ✅ — it’ll appear in the N-panel as a tab called "AiS"

▶️ How to Use It

• Go to the 3D Viewport and press N to open the sidebar

• Click on the AiS tab

• Hit the “Erase Errors” button

• That’s it! You’ll see a report showing which images were removed

💡 Now just save your file — no more "missing file" spam!

🧹 How to Uninstall

• Open Blender → Edit > Preferences > Add-ons

• Search for: Auto Image Scrapper

• Click the dropdown and hit Remove

To fully wipe it:
Head to this folder and delete auto_image_scrapper manually:
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\4.3\scripts\addons

🔎 Compatibility Notes

• Blender 4.3+ only

• Safe to use with K-Cycles, E-Cycles, or official builds

• Supports undo, won’t affect live image blocks

• No external dependencies, fully offline and script-safe
