EDWARD: Addisonoftheblacknote asks: I'm sorry, but I was a little disappointed in the placement of the Riddler trophies in Arkham City. They seemed to be pretty easy to spot and more often that not were out in the open. Was this intentional? Did you try to maybe make things a little easier for Batman? I felt you did such a nice job with them in Arkham Asylum, and then lowered the bar in Arkham City.
Trophies? Oh ho, you mean the little traps and treats I left out for the Bat. I'm very sorry to hear you weren't happy with my efforts, Addison - but frankly, to borrow a page from my charming henchgirls' playbooks, I'd like to see any of my listeners do better. I REALLY would. You see, Addison, controlling an entire city is significantly different from controlling a single hospital complex. For one thing, Gotham disobligingly lacks a CTV system. The ambitious criminal wanting to monitor even a small piece of the city has to acquire, install, and wire dozens of cameras himself. It becomes exponentially more difficult when the city in question has been taken over by every other criminal in the tri-state area, many of whom have personal grudges against our ambitious genius. Or, who just enjoy destroying cameras, traps, and any other piece of equipment they come across. Under such circumstances, taunting or torturing Batman becomes a full-time job with numerous complications, and inherent difficulties, especially if one's henchgirls happen to be otherwise engaged, and you're doing the entire thing yourself with only a toolkit, and caffeine. And so, Addison, I'm sorry that the hundreds of individual traps and challenges I created for a roof-hopping detective weren't up to your personal standards. I'm a little rusty at covering forty city blocks of apocalypse by myself. I hope you'll understand, and give me another chance, next time?
