Why did no one tell me I could use Ren'py screens like this

On the left, you can see me having to write fucking maddening amount of code for 4 measly pictures which have no variation at all.

On the right is code that fucking does the same thing, but now that code can do 6 variations and I only need to call the function with right numbers. 6 variations WITH the current setup mind you, that CG doesn't have any facial expressions except the mouth open close.

Fuck. 

I mean I know it's rather spaghetti code (I need to be really careful with naming otherwise the whole game will crash) and I still need to look into if this might cause performance issues but please if I have ever prayed to god it is now. Let this work like I want to, it will literally make my life so easier and I could have little more fun variations in the pictures. Maybe I should look if python has try-catch type of things so I could at least prevent outright crashing if something happens.

Anyways, this has been your irregular update on how coding with the VN is going, might post how it looks in the game soon ^^ If the code is ok to use, I'm probably going to alter it so it can be used for any CG picture. Maybe, since it's built in a way you could swap the background with anything easily, but I would need to take accord every different way I have managed to name these files :^) Well we will see. 

Still tho, fucking hell, this revelation I had could just make everything in life easier. At least some more "moving" CG pictures, as I'll be real, most are going to be more static and the way I will eventually color it and all might affect a lot on how well this code produces results.
