2025-09-22 19:30:22 +0000 UTC3:14:49 re Qhorin: they never really have a line from Qhorin that says I'll never be taken alive; therefore you (Jon) should be taken alive. 2:41:00 Qhorin asks Ygritte if they'd take him prisoner; gets an answer saying no. 2:57:00ish Ygritte escapes into the safety of the other wildlings (tracking them after capturing Qhorin as Qhorin says in the scene referenced above) because she was talking about sex, which she learned made Jon uncomfortable in the first few scenes with him. I just don't understand some of this analysis

Like rangers and wildlings knew Jon was being groomed for command, so let’s show him we’re normal guys, so we’ll be able to set up passage through the wall when he’s nights watch commander? Doesn’t mean all of this was planned step by step, but a loose conspiracy to create an alliance?
