Announcing Being Fiona - The Website!

So a while back, after dealing with Webtoon being picky with how Being Fiona is censored (no black bars, nudity has to be strategically covered with objects or with text bubbles, and disallowing characters from taking about certain mature things) and all the work that comes with adjusting the comic to appease them, I became tempted to create my own website for the Being Fiona comic.

I mean most of the other webcomics I like have their own website, and even though the webtoon version of Being Fiona is doing a good job, there's just something about a webcomic having its own website that appeals to me.

So for the past while, I've been tinkering with what that sort of website might look like and how it might work, but never moved much past the prototype stage.

But last week I had a burst of inspiration and bit the bullet! I bought a domain name, signed up for some web hosting, and cleaned up my prototype!

With its two month delay like the Webtoon comic, I'm not sure how useful this website will be for those of you who are subscribed to Being Fiona here on Patreon, but it does provide what I hope is a quick and easy way to ready through all the previous strips in both the horizontal and vertical formats.

The interface still needs a bit a tweaking, there's too much white space above the top of the strip and the strip selector in the mobile version is tiny, but I think its functional enough for it to go live!

Anyhow, please take a look and let me know if you have any suggestions. And I don't have a reward for this, but let me know if you figure out how to view a strip past the latest one shown. I've uploaded up to strip 330 on the website, but website only shows strips up to a certain date (but I think it releases them at midnight Greenwich time, which isn't a huge issue).

Also, the new Being Fiona half of the banner on this Patreon page isn't too racy is it?

I'll definitely look into adding the click to advance and reverse. I've never worked with RSS before, but that does sound like a good idea

Definitely appreciate a standalone website, webtoons can be a bit annoying. A usability thing I would appreciate would be to be able to advance the pages by just clicking on the image (bonus if you can reverse by clicking the left half of the image). Also please set up an rss feed for it. That's how I consume most of my regularly updating webcomics and should be a standard feature

Works for me.

Is it me or does the ”previous” button bellow the strip not work? The one above the strip works fine
