Update

Hello to all of you! I'm posting to let each of you know the current set I'm working on may be delayed a little bit.

My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge, and it's seen much better days. It has had an issue with the motherboard since I got it from online school in 2021. It was supposed to be new but they gave me a damaged used one. So it has been limping along for a while now. The backlight is going out on the screen and part of the screen is black. The hinges have been broken apart from the top lid, I have to prop it up as its only held on the laptop by the wires. Its charger is damaged as well and stops charging frequently. The keyboard and mouse are both messed up, but I use an external mouse for Blender anyway. The casing is cracked as well. The cooling is horrible, I have to use an external cooler (also damaged, go figure). I am an IT professional, but without funds I haven't been able to do anything with it.

I am now a part time caregiver for my friend, and between that and the support from you, I was able to order a used laptop on eBay last night. The specs are great! It is a Dell XPS 15 7590 with an i7-9750h 6 core CPU with Nvidia GeForce 1650 4K graphics. It has a 256GB M.2 SSD (which I am going to put my secondary 512GB SSD from my current setup into it). Then I will install a new Windows installation on it. I'm going to migrate my sims 4 over to it so I don't have to redownload the entire program with my very slow internet. Eventually I will be putting a 2TB SSD into it and cloning the current one. It has 16GB ram, but I'm going to put my 24GB from this laptop into it, and later upgrade it to 64GB ram. This laptop will definitely increase productivity and function. My current laptop has a Ryzen 5, and sometimes it takes 10+ min to load The Sims 4 as I have several thousand pieces of my own cc that load.

So I apologize that I don't have another update on this current set, but this laptop should be here next week and will be a powerhouse! I got a great deal on it as well! Thank you for all your support! I love all y'all!
