If you look at one of their other, MAs, they talk about this, I think. It was interesting.

2023-08-20 11:19:02 +0000 UTCI grew up in a pretty conservative home and tried to read Atlus Shrugged in high school. I got about 3/4 of the way through before I declared, "this is fucking stupid" and dropped it. I'm now a communist. So thanks, Ayn Rand?
Tom and Joe made me give them money to play their game and now I, Teagan, am anime sickos canon. I'm gonna live forever!
2023-08-20 01:35:19 +0000 UTCI recently listened to the Heavy Rain episode and was pretty surprised by the recounting of the story. I remember more or less liking it at the time, but I was even less able to critically analyze a game than I am now. What are some other pieces of media that you were surprised to have liked at the time? Where there any specific instances where you became aware of yourself falling away from beliefs you thought you held due to a negative reaction to a piece of art?

2023-08-20 01:33:49 +0000 UTCHow do you decide what things to make episodes about? Are you ever worried that you’ll run out of ideas?

2023-08-19 12:22:15 +0000 UTCThis might be a tad old school: Have you ever played the 1999 RPG classic "Planescape: Torment"? If so, what is your opinion of it?

2023-08-18 13:26:31 +0000 UTCFor context: young high-school stage crew Chuck was really into Stephen sondheim and Sweeney Todd (listened to the revival soundtrack nonstop) and was extremely excited for the Tim Burton adaption...and then it came out and kinda ruined the whole thing for me

2023-08-18 12:28:04 +0000 UTCIs there a piece of media which you really enjoyed, which was later ruined by an adaptation or a remake which changed how you felt about the original source material?

2023-08-18 05:59:29 +0000 UTCMy musical theater exposure has consisted of exclusively Andrew Lloyd Webber (bad), Lin Manuel Miranda (not good), and Sondhiem (transcendtly good). What are some other good writers, movements, or shows to learn up on to better understand this art form I'm a bit at odds with?

2023-08-18 04:58:31 +0000 UTCIf I really like Deus Ex, what's another piece of art in any medium that's worth checking out? Bonus points if it's off the beaten path.

2023-08-18 04:07:56 +0000 UTCMy question for you guys is, what are your favorite bands? Mine is Fleetwood Mac. Great mix of songs both fun/catchy and haunting/melancholic. Dreams is forever goated as the kids say.
