HQ speed painting - Soulblight Vampires in REAL TIME

In this video the colour blocking is so simple, quick and effective that the first part of the work, "pre wet palette" is quite short!
The good thing is that there is a lot more detailing than usual :) ... not because the models needed it, but because I was having a lot of fun, lol!
Enjoy!

Question about painting the vampire hair. For speed, would not it be better to have had painted a blue ink in the shadows of hair, before painting the flesh tone and white ink high-lights, and then painting a fluorescent yellow high-lights on hair, before using the contrast paint? This way, when painting blood angels red, you would have gotten tones from dark red to pure red to orange red at once. I constantly draw inspiration from your examples, and you see, learn. Honestly, I think you are the best for miniature painting tutorials, after I did my research: watching teachers, reading books. Marco, you are the first and only Author here I support, thanks to your character and concise explanation. Please consider painting a spider, or something else with organic carapace, such as a tyranids. I am trying to figure out how to paint the arachnarok spider, but stuck. Believe it or not, I am through my 3rd army, using your ideas, and have plans of painting 6 in total.

Oils are just an amazing tools honestly and should be part of all minis painters toolset. This is not that tough honestly and opens a whole new world. Take a glass of wine and try oils ;-)
