HIGH QUALITY "Real Time" speed painting! Cursed City skeletons for Patrons <3

Every step, over and over and over again (lol) in real time!
Working on this kind of projects where the same colours are repeated in the same quantities on every model, I imagine the process more like painting a single big miniature instead of multiple figures; this help a lot in keeping the planning of the main steps essential and consistent, focusing the attention on the general flow and the look of the unit. This mindset also alleviates a bit the boredom of the assembly line painting!

Hi! 99% of the time this happens because of an excessive pressure. The quantity of white spirit is not incredibly relevant because it doesn't react chemically with acrylics but it's still moisture that in excess can weaken the previous layers so just try to avoid an overflow on the surface (plus It's a strong solvent for oils so you don't really need much to produce the effect). In the first experiments you can try using more make-up sponges that naturally limit the strength of the touch! It can also happen when the acrylic layer is very thin (like a single pass of the airbrush) or in the case of inks, not completely settled. But again in most cases it's just the need of a more gentle hand ;)

Hey Marco, if you see this could you give me some advice on wiping off excess oil paint from the wash? I followed your instructions but when I went to use the q-tip to remove the excess oils it ripped off my acrylic paint too. Did I use too much pressure with the q-tip/too much mineral spirits on the q-tip? I'd like to avoid using varnish if I can get away with it. Thank you for sharing these videos with us, theu are very helpful!

I cannot figure out how to replicate the metallic.... so frustrating, I think my ratios are off.
