How to paint Space Marines (my way) THE SERIES! Imperial Fists - Realistic Grimdark Blanchitsu style

Hi! In a speed painting project I always give priority to the main, most eye catching, iconic set of tones; in your case, priority goes to the yellow! Give it a couple of extra shades, precise highlights and few interesting details and you can get away on everything else with a quick base tone and wash. It's not only a trick to save time but a realistic simulation of how are eyes work; we don't see everything in hd, but only the point where we focus our attention!

Marco, a few questions, relating to this video, but also the video about spray cans and the one about oil paints. I'm on the brink of starting an Imperial Fist army, so I'm collecting the minis and paints I'll be using. It would be great if you could expand on the idea of "Make the important parts POP, so less effort is necessary on the less exciting part", from the Blood Angels video. I love this idea, as I find the process of painting pouches etc. boring and I actually prefer a 'simpler' look. Base colour: Since we had our son, I stopped using the airbrush at home, so I'm stuck with rattle cans. The friendly local arts supply store has Montana, so I guess that's what I'll be using. I'm worried the Black series might be too difficult to control (higher pressure) compared to the Gold series. On the other hand, I might prefer the extra durability of the laquer paint. Unfortunately I don't have a ton of time to experiment, so I try to get my choice right the first time. Would you recommend the Black or Gold series? I have the Krimera Kolors set on the way, so I'm good for acrylics (plus my many Vallejo bottles). The local arts store I mentioned has Schmincke. Would you recommend getting their top quality (Mussini) or is the 2nd best (Norma Professional) sufficient? I think that's all for now. Thank you for creating great the great content on youtube.

Hey Marco, hope you and all your family are well. Loved this video. My 8 year old son and I are going to try some of these techniques ourselves. The oils look particularly forgiving for our noob hands. Could you talk a bit about the safety precautions you use at home? I have a vented spray booth for acrylics, but the fan isn't ideal for venting spirit vapors. thank you, we love your videos!
